From the ‘this is cool dept’: dotsub is now hosting the GIS gentle intro videos – you can go there and add subtitles. I still need to add markers to them to indicate where each sentance should start – at the moment I dont have time or bandwidth…maybe someone else will pick that up…
I just gave it a try but I’m not able to enter a transcription or translation. In the introductional video the said you have to mark the transcription as final. And it is really final as you cant change it than anymore. But you need a final transcription to enter translation.
Could you check if the transcription is final please?
Maybe I overlooked something, I’ll take a look again and let you know in this case.
Hi this was the reply from Giacomo (see below) so it looks like it will be opened up for translations soon if it isn’t already.
Regards
Tim
Hello Tim,
Many thanks for getting back to me.
Subtitling is done. I asked Maureen to do a final check.
The next step is the translation of the Subtitles from English into other languages. We will take care of Spanish within the next two weeks.
You can call on other people to do the translation into other languages. Once the final check of the English subtitles will be completed I will change permissions on the videos and allow anyone registered with dotsub.com to start a translation in any other language.
Best regards
Giacomo Rambaldi
